How COACH Builds Every Episode
Each COACH episode follows a precise structure designed to make history come alive without losing its integrity. Every script is built in clearly defined sections—called chunks—that guide the story from dramatic opening to personal reflection. This structure keeps each episode seamless and immersive, letting listeners experience the past as if they were there. You won’t hear dramatized voices or fictional dialogue—just vivid storytelling drawn from real events, real people, and verified sources.
COACH also follows a unique referencing system that keeps every claim accountable. Every direct quote used in an episode is documented in the companion section called Reference Quotes. Facts that historians broadly agree on are listed as Z-Notes, or “Zero Dispute Notes.” When faithful Christians across history have held differing—but still orthodox—interpretations, those are presented as POPs, or “Parallel Orthodox Perspectives.” And when skeptical or contrary voices challenge the traditional record, they appear as SCOPs, “Skeptical or Contrary Opinion Points.” Together with the full References List, these sections show exactly where each idea comes from and help listeners explore further for themselves.
Orthodox Christian belief anchors everything we do. COACH affirms the historic faith expressed in the Apostles’, Nicene, and Chalcedonian creeds—while refusing to promote any single tradition above another. Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Protestant, Arminian, and Reformed believers are treated with equal respect, and historical discomfort is never edited out for convenience. We tell the story honestly, even when it challenges familiar assumptions. The goal isn’t to win arguments but to rediscover the roots we all share.
Each episode also connects history to discipleship today. The structure moves from scene and context to lasting legacy and practical reflection—helping listeners ask not only what happened, but why it matters now. The closing sections call every believer to learn from the past, grow in faith, and live more faithfully in the present. Every episode closes with sources openly cited and a touch of light-hearted humor, reminding listeners that serious truth can still be shared with warmth.
COACH is more than a history show—it’s an invitation to think deeply, worship authentically, and see how the story of the Church is still coaching us today. If you value clarity, integrity, and storytelling that respects both mind and spirit, you’ll find COACH worth tuning in for week after week.
